Mr. Anand Mohan Bajaj brings more than 29 years of experience in the field of finance, financial markets and economic affairs. As Additional Secretary he heads the Financial Markets Division in the Department of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance.
His important responsibilities include policy matters relating to

Mr. Prabhat Ranjan Acharya has more than 37 years of successful diverse experience working across government, private & public sector companies as well as independent practice with broad based expertise in public finance, public policy, corporate finance, corporate strategy, risk management, corporate governance & consultancy bringing a well-rounded & all-inclusive management perspective. He was a member of the Indian Audit & Accounts Service.
He had started his career as a Management Trainee in erstwhile DCM Ltd in June 1983 before joining ONGC as an Administrative Officer in December 1984. Thereafter, he joined Indian Audit & Accounts service (IA&AS) in 1985 & worked for nearly 28 years in various assignments of Government of India before leaving the Govt in 2013.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Life Member of all India Management Association, Member of International Consulting Professionals’ Institute; Member, Institute of Public Auditors of India etc. He is also an Independent External Monitor of Mazagon Dockyard Ltd (MDL), a large Defence PSU.
Mr. Ashishkumar Chauhan is the MD & CEO of BSE, Asia’s oldest exchange, World’s fastest exchange with 6 Micro seconds response time, World’s largest exchange with 5,000 plus listed companies and India’s first universal exchange to offer trading across all asset classes. He is credited with reviving BSE and completing its IPO – which was oversubscribed more than 51 times. He was instrumental in setting up India’s first International Exchange, India International exchange, inaugurated by India’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in January 2017.
Prior to joining BSE, from 2000 to 2009, he worked at Reliance Industries, India’s largest conglomerate as President and Group CIO, Head of Corporate communications and CEO of Cricket team Mumbai Indians in its formative years. From 1993 to 2000, he setup India’s National Stock Exchange (NSE), primarily on technology, Screen based trading system, satellite communications network, equities and derivatives businesses, and Nifty index amongst his many responsibilities. He is considered the father of modern financial derivatives in India due to his work at NSE.
He received several Indian and International awards including Distinguished Alumnus Awards from both his Alma Mater IIT Bombay and IIM Kolkata, a rare achievement. He has also been awarded “Digital Icon of Year” by Indian Express Group and ranked amongst the top CEOs in financial markets by Asian Banker, amongst top 50 CIOs in the world by Information Week US. He is a member of several committees of Government, Regulators and international associations. He is a member on the Board of Directors at IIM Raipur, NIFM Faridabad, Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Member of Board of Advisors at Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management – IIT Bombay and served as chairman of NIT Manipur. He is a distinguished visiting faculty at Ryerson University in Toronto and Honorary Professor at Nottingham University Business School. He co-authored a book on the history of the BSE titled “The Temple of Wealth Creation”.
Mr. Vikram Limaye is the Managing Director and CEO of the National Stock Exchange of
India Limited (NSE) which is the world’s largest derivatives exchange and in the top three
exchanges globally for cash market trades.
Prior to joining NSE, he was the Managing Director & CEO of IDFC Limited, a diversified financial services conglomerate. He started his professional career with Arthur Andersen in Mumbai in 1987 while pursuing his Chartered Accountancy and worked in the audit and business advisory services groups of Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young and the consumer banking group of Citibank before going to the US in 1994 to pursue a MBA. After completing his MBA, he worked on Wall Street in USA for 8 years with Credit Suisse First Boston in a variety of roles in investment banking, capital markets, structured finance and credit portfolio management before returning to Mumbai, India in 2004.
He has contributed to various committees of government and industry associations on a range of topics surrounding infrastructure, economic policy, markets, trade, minority affairs etc. He has been a speaker at various domestic and international conferences and has been part of international government delegations for infrastructure and foreign direct investments into India. He has also been on the boards of various corporates, educational institutions and not for profit organisations. Currently he is the Chairman of the Working Committee of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) and also a member of the Board of Directors of WFE.
He completed his Bachelors in Commerce from HR College of Commerce & Economics, Chartered Accountancy and a MBA in Finance and Multinational Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
Mr. Nehal Vora has more than 23 years of rich and varied experience in the areas of compliance and regulation involving the securities market. He was the Chief Regulatory Officer of BSE Limited and was heading all the regulatory functions at BSE.
He received the NetApp Innovation Award 2019 for Social Media Parsing (using Artificial Intelligence). In 2018, he was recognized as Compliance Champion at the 2018 Compliance 10/10 Awards. He also received the IMC Digital Technology Awards for Social Media Parsing. Further, in 2017, he was recognized for his work at the 2017 IDC Digital Transformation Awards under the Dx Leader Information Visionary category for innovation in digital and social media parsing and by the FOW Global Investors Group at the Asia Capital Markets Awards in 2017 for Best New Product in Market Surveillance. Earlier as Director, Compliance at DSP Merrill Lynch Limited, he headed the compliance for broking, investment banking and fixed income business. In recognition of his commitment and dedication to the Compliance Function at DSP Merrill Lynch, he was awarded OGC Living the Mission Award in 2008. Prior to that, he worked with SEBI for more than 10 years in varied areas of derivatives, venture capital and surveillance.
He holds a Commerce degree from Mumbai University and a Master of Management Studies degree in Finance from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, University of Mumbai.
From 1999-2010, Ms. Edmundson was the Executive Director of the Bond Market Foundation and the team leader for financial capability and investor education initiatives worldwide for the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Foundation for Investor Education, developing multi-award-winning Web-based initiatives such as www.investinginbonds. com and www.investinginbondsEurope.org, which pioneered non-profit investor numeracy/literacy content used by millions annually to understand the concepts and the analytics/data behind fixed income markets, and the www.tomorrowsmoney.org suite of financial capability sites.
She also was responsible for the introduction of bond portfolios and other provisions into the Stock Market Game (SMG). Earlier in her career, Ms. Edmundson was Assistant to the President and Vice President of the Rockefeller Foundation, Special Assistant to the President of New York University (including an international portfolio of European and African academic programme development), and President of the CBS Foundation, including responsibility for accessible technologies operations at the CBS Broadcast Network of Television and Radio, such as closed captioning and video description.
In addition to her work with IFIE, Ms. Edmundson coordinates FC/IE resources and networking technology for the National Association of State Treasurers (NAST) Foundation in the U.S. and a financial literacy partnership between NAST Foundation and Mexico’s state and federal governments. She also develops leadership skill-building training and coaching to strengthen professional talent available to civic and community building organizations within and across jurisdictions and is an advisor on financing and capacity building for non-profit, networked, and virtual organizations. Ms. Edmundson was educated at Harvard University.
Mr. Uttam Bagri is the third-generation promoter director of the 62-year-old BCB Group, a financial services group primarily engaged in Stock Broking and Merchant Banking activities. Mr. Bagri is a Bachelor of Commerce and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. He has been associated with the financial markets for more than two decades. He has served on the Board of now BSE Limited from 2003 to 2005 and 2010 to 2012 as Trading Member representative. He has been a member of many Committees of Market Infrastructure Institutions and SEBI over time.
Mr. Anural Bansal possesses extensive experience of over 20 years in Capital Markets. He is Whole time director of SMC Global Securities Limited which along with its group companies offers a diverse range of financial services including institutional and retail brokerage of equity, derivatives, commodities, currency, online trading, depository services, distribution of IPOs, mutual funds, fixed deposits & bonds, insurance broking (life and general), clearing services, margin financing, investment banking, portfolio management, wealth advisory, real estate advisory and research.
Mr. Navneet Munot joined SBI Funds Management as Chief Investment Officer in December 2008. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing investments worth over USD 100 billion across various asset classes in mutual fund and segregated accounts.
He has over 25 years of rich experience in Financial Markets. In his previous assignment, he was the Executive Director & Head – multi –strategy boutique with Morgan Stanley Investment Management. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Investment Management, he has worked as Chief Investment Officer – Fixed Income and Hybrid Funds at Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund and worked in various areas such as fixed income, equities and foreign exchange.
Mr. Munot is the Chairman of Indian Association of Investment Professional (India society of CFA charter holders). He has been a pioneer in ESG investing in India. He is an active member of various national and international initiatives pertaining to sustainable investing. He is a Nominee Director on the board of SBI Pension Funds (P) Ltd.
He is a postgraduate in Accountancy and Business Statistics and a qualified Chartered Accountant. He is also a Charter Holder of the CFA Institute and CAIA Institute. He has also done FRM.
Mr. Nithin Kamath is an avid trader in the Indian capital markets for over a decade. He along with his brother Nikhil founded Zerodha in 2010. India’s first discount brokerage widely credited as being a disruptive force in the Indian Broking industry. Zerodha is now the largest broking firm in the country by active clients & turnover as per the January data released by NSE. Zerodha contributes more than 15% of the daily exchange turnover, serving more than 3 million clients.
With Zerodha, Mr. Kamath has worked relentlessly to solve the woes individual Indian investors face. Zerodha was the first Indian broker to offer investments completely free of charge. Zerodha leverages technology to offer innovative trading & investing solutions that appeal to a wider audience in a bid to reach sections of the populace not currently participating in the capital markets.
In addition, Mr. Kamath has been working on creating an ecosystem for spurring innovation in the financial technology industry in India. He has founded Rainmatter, an R&D fintech incubator and fund that has invested in several fintech startups.
He also launched a “Broking as a service” platform, where Zerodha’s entire brokerage and its technology platforms are avail- able on the cloud for developers and startups to build their own platforms, the first of its kind in the world.
Zerodha recently won the ‘Start up of the Year’ award 2020 at the ET startup awards. Earlier Zerodha won the ET Startup Award of the Year (Bootstrap category) in the year 2016. Mr. Kamath won the prestigious ET 40 Under Forty, in the year 2018.
Mr. Kamath also Won the Entrepreneur of the Year award by EY in 2017. In its annual business review, the Economic Times featured Mr. Kamath as one of the 10 Indian businessmen to watch out for in 2016, who will be most influential in their respective industries. Mr. Kamath also got featured as a successful entrepreneur in Forbes India’s ‘Tycoons of Tomorrow’ list for 2018 along with his brother Nikhil.
Outside of work, Mr. Kamath enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar, poker, running, football, basketball, and swimming.
Mr. Cyrus Khambata is seasoned banker with 20 years’ experience and expertise in branch Banking Rehabilitation of Sick units. Worked with CDSL for 23 years and retired as ED. Started the Common KYC system and was instrumental in the framing of the KRA regulations. Presently with Paytm Money, the Financial services arm of Paytm as Whole Time Director (WTD).
Dr. V.R. Narasimhan started has 40 years of work experience in Financial and Capital Markets in India. At present he is working as Dean with National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), an educational initiative of SEBI. He started his career as a lecturer. Thereafter he worked with AP State Finance Corporation (APSFC), Public Enterprise Management Board, Government of Andhra Pradesh, SEBI, National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL), Kotak Mahindra Bank and NSE (National Stock Exchange).
While he was working with India’s first securities depository NSDL, NSDL he was responsible for spreading the demat concept amongst all issuers and investors in the country and also played key role in developing new products and services like setting up National Skill Registry for NASSCOM, biometric based investor registration system called MAPIN (now abandoned), conceptualization of Central Record Keeping Agency for PFRDA etc.
While he was with Kotak Mahindra Bank, he played multiple roles including setting up Kotak Mahindra Pension Fund Company, setting up Kotak Commodity Derivatives Exchange, Group head for capital market compliance etc. He served NSE as its Chief Regulatory Officer from 2013 till 2018 and retired from its service.
Dr. Narasimhan is a postgraduate in Commerce, MBA (Finance) and a Ph. D and a member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
Mr. Khushro Bulsara is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Company Secretary and LL.B. Since July 2020 he has taken over as Head of BSE’s Investor Protection Fund (IPF). Before this, he was the Chief General Manager with BSE Ltd. (formerly Bombay Stock Exchange) heading the Listing Compliance & Legal Regulatory functions.
In his 30 years of work experience, he has spent over 24 years with BSE and has rich experience with several departments of the Exchange such as Surveillance, Inspection, Clearing & Settlement, Debt, Derivatives, Mutual Fund business and of course, Listing Compliance. He was responsible for setting up the Exchange’s popular Mutual Fund platform called StAR MF in 2009 and since 2012 he was heading the listing compliance and legal regulatory departments at BSE.
With a career spanning over two decades, Mr. Dhiraj Relli brings to the table a wealth of experience in the Banking, Wealth Management and Financial Services space. As the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, he oversees all aspects of the company’s Institutional, Retail Business and Operations.
A member of the HDFC family since 2008, he has served as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Branch Banking at HDFC Bank, where he managed Retail Branch Banking spreading across 800 branches in different geographies.
Prior to this, he worked as the Country Head, Branch Banking, with Centurion Bank of Punjab, and also held various posts with ICICI Bank, and other well-known financial services organisations. Mr. Relli is a member of the Trading Member Advisory Committee, National Stock Exchange and Member of the Advisory Committee of Bombay Stock Exchange.

Mr. Bhushan Kedar is currently Director – Funds and Fixed Income Research at CRISIL. He has a total work experience of over 16 years in the area of capital markets and analytics.
He joined CRISIL in 2006 and has led multiple product verticals including mutual funds research, qualitative assessment for asset managers, fixed income & structured products valuations, indices and new products.

Ms. Lakshmi Iyer heads fixed income and products team at KMAMC. She has been with the organisation since the last 20 years.
Joining KMAMC in 1999 as a fund manager, she was responsible for credit research, deal execution, managing fund performance across all debt funds and assisting sales in client interaction. In addition to that, she has been a portfolio specialist, and managed product related initiatives such as product pricing and coordination with the funds management and sales team in that role.
Prior to joining Kotak, she worked with Credence Analytics Pvt Ltd, as a research analyst where she was tracking corporate bond markets in India and generating research reports. She was also instrumental in conceiving various financial software tools in collaboration with software and technical teams.
She holds an MBA degree in finance from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.

Mr. Farshid A. Cooper joined the organization in 2008 and has served as a Director since then. Prior to joining Spenta, Mr. Farshid Cooper spent three years as an investment banker with J.P. Morgan Securities in Mumbai and New York. As a part Spenta, he has used his experience and knowledge to bolster the company’s position in the banking and investment fraternity.

Mr. Ramesh S. Damani, age 63, is a Member of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). A graduate of H.R. College, Mumbai, he did his MBA from California State University, Northridge. He has been a broker, at the BSE, since 1989.
He is currently Chairman of Avenue Supermarts Ltd. [popularly known as D-Mart]. Prior to joining Avenue Supermarts Ltd., he was and remains Managing Director of Ramesh S. Damani Finance Pvt. Ltd., who are members of the BSE. He also serves on the Boards of VIP INDUSTRIES LTD and APTECH Ltd. as an Independent Director.
He has hosted a number of shows on CNBC-TV18, amongst them are Wizards of Dalal Street, Oriental & Occidental and RD 360. He is a frequent commentator of financial issues on various business channels.
Married to Ruchi and has one son.
